About the project
An interactive embedded project that turns sensor input into a real user experience. You will build a low-voltage desk lamp, detect hand gestures or proximity, process the sensor input, and control the light state or brightness through intuitive interaction while retaining manual control
Receive the complete kit, build the project yourself, program it from scratch, understand how it works, and finish with a useful working device you can keep
What you will build
A practical low-voltage smart desk lamp controlled through gestures with manual control available when needed
What you will learn
- Read gesture/proximity sensor input
- Convert sensor readings into control actions
- Control an LED lighting module
- Use PWM where appropriate
- Understand basic LED driving
- Build a human-machine interaction flow
- Filter unintended/false interactions
- Combine smart and manual control
- Test and tune the user experience
